Enjoy your flight to Shanghai. Arrive China's largest city, major seaport and
important commercial centre. Check-into-hotel.
Day 2 Shanghai (B/L/D)
During your stay in Shanghai, see the riverfront promenade, “the Bund”,
- a splendid vantage point to view the colorful traffic on the Huangpu River
& Pudong Development Zone. Visit Nanjing Road, Shanghai Museum & Yu
Yuan (Pleasure Garden). After dinner, you will enjoy an Acrobatic Show.
Day 3 Shanghai (B/-/-)
Today is a free day for you at your own leisure.
Day 4 Shanghai/Suzhou/Hangzhou
(B/L/D)
This
morning, you will tale a private coach to Suzhou, often referred to as the
"Venice of the East". Visit the Tiger Hill and Hanshan Temple.
Today’s tour will end with a walk through the picturesque Lingering
Garden. You will continue your journey via coach to Hangzhou.
Day 5 Hangzhou (B/L/D)
This morning in Hangzhou, you will visit Lingyin Monastery founded as
early as 326 AD, then take a boat ride on the immensely beautiful West Lake,
followed by a visit to a tea plantation to watch the world-famous “Dragon Well”
tea being prepared.
Day 6 Hangzhou/Shanghai/Yichang
... Yangtze Cruise (B/L/D)
This morning, depart Hangzhou via coach to Shanghai, then fly
to Yichang, the embarkation point of the Yangtze River cruise and embark on the
deluxe M.S. Dragon, your home for the next four nights.
Day 7 Yangtze Cruise (B/L/D)
Early morning Tai Chi Exercise, then after breakfast, the Cruise Director will
conduct a briefing to all passengers of the ship’s facilities and sailing
itinerary. You will then be transferred via coach to inspect the “Three
Gorges Dam”, the world’s largest and most powerful hydroelectric dam.
Towering 610 feet high and stretching 1.3 miles wide, the dam will create a
reservoir that extends nearly 400 miles upstream. With swells of national
pride, some Chinese call this dam the modern Great Wall. Return to ship
and pass through a 5-step ship locks that takes approx. 3 hours.
After lunch, you will have a brief introduction of the Three Gorges and the Dam
Project. Then, you will enter into the first gorge – Xiling Gorge,
the longest and previously the most hazardous, along the magnificent
gorge. Enjoy charming villages, lush terraced hillsides, and historic
landmarks dotting the countryside as you cruise by. You arrive Badong in
the early evening. Tonight, enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Dinner
followed by an evening entertainment performed by the cruise director and river
guides with singing and dancing performances.
Day 8 Yangtze
Cruise (B/L/D)
Early
morning Tai Chi Exercise, then after breakfast, you will take a shore excursion
of the Shennong Stream; you will be transferred to a pea-boat drifting
rapidly on a breathtaking ride. During the journey, you may see the
ancient roads, the ancient coffins in the precipice, and even some rare animals
such as golden-haired monkeys. Enjoy the wonderful scene of deep and
quiet gorges, the magnificent peaks as if they are cut by axes and knives.
Back to ship for lunch, you will then enter the second gorge - Wu
Gorge, known for its odd, misty rock formations and soaring mountain
backdrop. Next, you will enter the third gorge – Qutang Gorge, the
shortest but by far the most dramatic of the Yangtze’s Three Gorges with steep
cliffs and fascinating oddities surrounding you. After dinner, the
crewmembers will entertain you with a “China Evening” performance.
Day 9 Yangtze
Cruise (B/L/D)
Early morning Tai Chi Exercise, then after breakfast, you will take a shore
excursion to Fengdu – the Ghost City. It attracts tourists with
temple of shrines dedicated to the gods of the underworld; instruments of
torture and wild demon images are displayed. Return to the ship for
lunch. This afternoon is free at your leisure. Tonight, enjoy a
farewell party followed by another Chinese Evening performance.
Day10 Yangtze
Cruise... Chongqing/Xi’an (B/L/D)
Arrive Chongqing and disembark early this morning at around 9:00 am. If flight
schedule permits, the city tour will take you to Panda Museum and People’s
Grand Hall before your flight to Xi’an, the most important archaeological
site in China and once the capital of 11 dynasties.
Day11 Xi’an (B/L/D)
A full day excursion takes you to one of the most exciting archaeological finds
in recent years - the unearthing of more than 6,000 Terra-cotta Warriors and
Horses. These figures guard the tomb of Emperor Qin and are buried in the
huge pit covering more than three acres. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda,
a brick-tower architecture boasted a five-storey structure about 60 meters
high. This evening, enjoy a special Dumpling Dinner followed by a
delightful Tang Dynasty Show.
Day12 Xi’an/Beijing (B/L/D)
This morning in Xi’an, you will visit the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, a
striking Tang-Dynasty style pavilion, houses a large collection of 113,000
historic and cultural artifacts. Then, visit the Ming Dynasty City Wall
before you fly to Beijing, the nation’s seven-century-old capital. After
dinner, you will check-in to hotel.
Day13 Beijing
(B/L/D)
Your tour starts in late morning to Tian’anmen
Square, the largest urban square in the world with the capacity of 1 million
people. Forbidden City, located in the centre of Beijing, it’s the
largest existing, best-preserved imperial palace in the world today covering a
total area of 720,000 square meters. Then visit the Temple of Heaven, a
masterpiece of 15th Century architecture inscribed on the UNESCO’s World
Heritages List. Next, The Summer Palace presents a breathtaking
arrangement of lake, landscape, pagodas and pavilions, a fine example of
Chinese gardening art.
Day14 Beijing (B/L/D)
Following breakfast, you will visit the Dingling Tomb, one of the Ming
Tombs, the burial place of the 13th Ming Dynasty Emperor to view the
fabulous cultural relics. Then, we visit the "Sacred Way" – a
boulevard lined with sculpted stone animals. Next, drive to the Badaling
section of Great Wall, the world’s greatest man-made structure winding
dragon-like across Northern China and praised as a "Wonder of the
World". This is the only earthly evidence of man visible from the moon.
Tonight, you will enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner, the no. 1 typical food of
Beijing.
Day15 Beijing (B/-/-)
Free day to shop and sightseeing on your own.

Big
farewell to China and depart for hometown. Tonight arrive your sweet home with
